Support Access to Contraception!
The 2008 General Assembly session is fast approaching—please urge your legislators to put prevention first by going on the record in support of improving women's access to contraception. Virginians are tired of divisive attacks against a woman's right to choose—and that's why we're uniting behind commonsense policies to prevent unintended pregnancy and thus reduce the need for abortion. There's nothing more commonsense and common-ground than birth control. But believe it or not, some extreme anti-choice legislators want to go further than just restricting abortion—they also want to prevent women from accessing certain contraceptive methods. The Birth Control Protection Act protects women's timely access to all Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved contraceptives. Please urge your legislators to go on the record in support of access to contraception.
