Special Election January 12th!

Welcome to NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia PAC's Special Election Day Guide! We aim to provide you with a one-step guide to voting for your 100% pro-choice and pro-prevention candidate David Marsden on January 12th (or earlier if you qualify for an absentee ballot!).

Where do I vote?

You can visit http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/eb/upcoming.htm to find your polling place for January 12th. If you can’t locate your polling place, or if you have any questions about where you should vote on the day of the election, please call the Fairfax County General Registrar’s office at 703-222-0776.


Who can vote by absentee ballot?

If you will be away from Fairfax County on Election Day or are unable to go to the polls because of illness or disability, you may vote by absentee ballot by mail or in-person. 

The in-person absentee voting is as follows:
Location: Office of Elections, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Suite 323, Fairfax, VA 22035. 
 
In-Person Absentee Voting Schedule:

Weekdays (M-F):

December 18 - January 8, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.*

*(Office closed on December 24th, 25th, 31st, and January 1st)

Saturdays:

January 9, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Absentee Voting By Mail

First ballot mail-out: Approximately December 18.

 
Absentee Voting Deadlines:
To apply for a ballot to be mailed to you (application may be mailed or faxed), January 5, 5:00 p.m. The mailed ballots must be received in the Office of Elections by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day in order to be counted.
 

What if I want to vote on the day of the election, but I have a disability that makes voting difficult?

The election officials are committed to making sure you can vote. If you are 65 years or older, have a physical disability or have difficulty getting inside the polling place, the election officials can bring a ballot to you in your vehicle outside. If you have limited vision, you can vote with assistance. If you have other disabilities, you can ask someone to assist you with voting.
