Featuring special guest speaker
The Honorable Mark R. Herring
Attorney General of Virginia
Award Honorees:
The Aggie Wolf Defender of Choice Award to Senator Mamie Locke
In Senator Locke's ten years in the state Senate, she has been a champion for reproductive rights and women's health, particularly as a pro-choice voice on the Senate Education and Health Committee. During the 2014 General Assembly session, she introduced two pro-active bills: SB 617 to repeal the 2012 mandatory ultrasound law,  and SB 618 to end Virginia's ban on insurance plans that cover abortion being sold in healthcare exchanges. Senator Locke represents parts of Hampton, Newport News, Portsmouth, and York County.
The Outstanding Advocate for Choice Award to Lianne Best
Lianne, a resident of the city of Manassas, has been a dedicated advocate for reproductive health care access in her city, including alerting NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia to the introduction of a local zoning ordinance targeting abortion providers there and working with us to organize Manassas residents to contact the City Council.

And a special Steadfast Supporter Award to retiring Congressman Jim Moran for his over two decades of representing Virginia's 8th Congressional District with pro-choice votes in the U.S. House of Representatives.
