Since his inauguration, Gov. Bob McDonnell has vigorously pursued a political agenda of undercutting women's health in Virginia.

Since 2010, Gov. McDonnell has:

• Blocked low-income women's access to abortion when their health is at risk.
• Banned Virginia women from using their own money to purchase private insurance coverage for abortion care, even in tragic health-threatening and fetal anomaly cases.
• Approved new, unwarranted regulations to turn first-trimester abortion providers into hospitals.
• And restored nearly $900,000 in funding for failed, "abstinence-only-until-marriage” programs for our youth.

Gov. McDonnell's policies and priorities are bad news for Virginia women and families.

A recent video from the governor's office would have us believe his administration has only focused on rest stops, roads and taxes. That's why we are releasing our video response, outlining the ways Gov. McDonnell and his cohorts in the General Assembly limited women's access to health care and trampled on their constitutional rights during this first year in office.
