NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia PAC Endorses Robin Abbott
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 25, 2009 NARAL PRO-CHOICE VIRGINIA PAC ANNOUNCES ENDORSEMENT OF DELEGATE ROBIN ABBOTT, DISTRICT 93 Endorsement highlights organization’s dedication to building a pro-choice majority in the Virginia House of Delegates (Alexandria, VA) – Today, NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia PAC, the commonwealth’s leading advocate for personal privacy and a woman’s right to choose, announced its endorsement of Robin Abbott for House District 93, who is challenging anti-choice incumbent Phillip Hamilton. Hamilton, who has held the seat for 22 years, merited a 0% pro-choice rating on NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia’s Legislative Scorecard since 2006. Abbott is a strong advocate for health care, believing that all Virginians deserve access to quality, affordable and accessible care. She has promised to work to expand the SCHIP program and the FAMIS initiative to provide health care for all of Virginia’s children – which will also ensure access to comprehensive reproductive health care. “Voters in House District 93 are fortunate to have Robin Abbott challenging Delegate Hamilton in order to protect their reproductive rights at the state level.
